Restaurant in La Jolla brought great
opportunities, as Saucedo was under the
Beach and Tennis Club
Executive Chef Bernard Guillas.
Guillas and Saucedo collaborated a great
deal, but after eight-and-a-half years, the
hunger to be at the top of the heap and in
ultimate control of an operation he could
call his own.
Chef Augie is an active member of
la Chaine des Rotisseurs,
and a professional member of
Institute of Wine & Food.
donates his time and expertise to
local charities at culinary events.
He participated in the Chef Showdown, which
celebrates domestic violence awareness. Here
he won numerous culinary competition events.
In addition to that event this year, Chef
Augie adds the Share Our Strength, San Diego
Food & Wine Festival, Junior Seau Legends
Party, Island Divine, Mamas Kitchen, and
Taste of the Cove (to benefit the San Diego
Sports Medicine Foundation for Children)
events to his plans for the upcoming year.
